Privacy policy
Effective 31 October 2026
Resumo is a resume and cover letter builder for Android and iOS, made by Gravito Technologies (Gobinath Subramaniam). This policy explains what happens to the information you put into it.
In short
Resumo collects nothing about you unless you turn on AI writing, and little then. It has no account and no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Everything except AI writing works offline. Opening the plans asks our service for their current limits, and that request carries nothing about you. When you ask the AI for help, the app sends only the text that request needs, never your name or contact details, and our service keeps none of it. If you buy Resumo Plus, the purchase is made through Google Play or the App Store, never through us. If you email us for help, we receive only the message you choose to send.
What you enter, and where it is kept
To build a resume or a cover letter you type in details such as your name, contact details, work history and education, and you may add a photo and a signature. When you tailor a resume to a job, the job description you paste is kept with the copy made for it, and until a copy is made, as a draft with that resume. All of it is stored inside the app's private storage on your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, except the text you choose to send to AI writing (below), and we have no way to see it.
Your photo. If you add a photo, you choose it with your phone's own photo picker, so Resumo only ever receives the one photo you pick, never your library. The app re-encodes the photo, which removes the information cameras attach to it, including where it was taken. Only the re-encoded copy is kept, inside your document.
Your signature. If you sign a resume's declaration, you draw the signature with your finger inside the app. It is kept as the lines you drew, inside your document, and printed only on the resume you download, never in its ATS-safe copy.
Files you download. When you download a resume or a letter (PDF, Word or text), the file is created on your device. Where it goes next is your choice, through your phone's share sheet: to your files, an email, a job site or another app. Whatever you send it to handles it under its own terms.
Checking your spelling. Where your phone has a spell checker Resumo can use, the words you type in bullets, summaries, descriptions and letters are checked by it, on your phone: on an iPhone, Apple's; on Android, the one chosen in your phone's settings, which handles them under its own terms. Resumo sends nothing for it, and a word you tell it to ignore is forgotten when Resumo closes. Settings › Check spelling turns it off.
Sharing Resumo. If you share Resumo with someone, your phone's share sheet sends a short message with a link to gravito.tech/resumo/get. The link names the part of the app it was shared from, such as Settings, so that Google Play and the App Store can count installs by where their links came from. It says nothing about you, and Resumo itself sends nothing.
What the app notes about itself. Resumo keeps a short record on your device of when it was first installed there and which versions of it have run since. When you save a file to your phone, it also notes the file's name, where it was saved and when, so that it can open that file for you again and tell you when your document has changed since. And it counts the files you save or share, and notes when it last asked your app store to show its rating prompt, so that it asks rarely. If Resumo Plus is in the app, it notes the plan you hold and when it ends; which plan each Google Play purchase made on this device bought, since Google Play does not say; and, while AI writing is on, which purchases it has sent to our service. It keeps the country your app store last reported, so that AI writing is offered as before while you are offline, and the plans' current limits as last fetched. If our service says AI writing isn't offered where you are, it notes when, and keeps AI writing hidden for a day. If you turn on AI writing, it keeps the random ID our service gave this installation and your answers to its questions about what to send. These notes are stored with your documents. The only ones that leave your device are the install line and the Plus line, in an email to us that you choose to send (below), and the installation's ID, with each AI request you make.
Writing with AI
Resumo can rewrite or improve an entry's bullets, draft a summary and suggest skills from what you have already written, sort notes you type into a new resume, and, for a job description you paste, suggest edits to a copy of a resume and draft a cover letter. AI writing is off until you turn it on, and the app asks you first.
What is sent. Only the text one request needs: an entry's bullets (or the one you chose) with the entry's title and organisation, the parts of your resume the request uses, or the notes you type for a new resume; a job's description, company and role if you give them; and, if you told Resumo which describes you best (a student or recent graduate, experienced in your field, or changing careers), that answer. Your name, email, phone number, address, links, date of birth, nationality, photo, signature and the other personal lines in your resume are never sent. The app also removes email addresses, phone numbers and web addresses from the text before it leaves your device, and puts [name] where your name appears in it. When you type notes for a new resume, the name you type above them and the email addresses, phone numbers and links in them stay on your device and go into the new resume's personal details, and the notes wait on your device as a draft until a resume is made from them.
Who processes it. The text travels encrypted to our service at Amazon Web Services (AWS), which asks Anthropic's Claude model for the reply. Anthropic keeps the request and the reply for up to 30 days, or up to 2 years if its safety systems flag them, and does not use them to train AI models; neither do we nor AWS. If who processes your text, or what they keep, ever changes, the app tells you and asks you again before sending anything.
What we keep. No copy of your text or of the reply. To prevent abuse and to count your AI uses, our service keeps a random ID for this installation of Resumo; whether Google Play or Apple confirmed that the app is a genuine copy from the store; how many AI requests this installation has made with its free AI to try; and, for each request, when it was made, what kind it was, which model answered, its length, how long it took, whether it worked, and the app's version and platform, linked to this installation only in a coded form. If you buy Resumo Plus while AI writing is on, it also keeps a coded form of the store's identifier for your purchase, which plan it is, when it was bought and when it ends, and how much of it you have used. Request records are kept for 30 days; this installation's record until 13 months after its last AI request, or until you delete it; and a plan's record until a day after the plan ends. None of it is used for advertising, or linked to your name unless you write to us about a purchase (see Purchases). On an iPhone, our service also asks Apple's DeviceCheck whether this phone has used AI writing before, and marks that it has, so that the free AI to try is once per phone. Apple keeps that mark, which says nothing else about you or the phone.
Where it works. AI writing is offered only in the countries where Anthropic offers its Claude model, and not yet in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. Resumo checks your app store's country on your phone, and our service checks which country a request comes from by its internet address. It keeps neither the address nor the country.
Reports. Every AI suggestion has Report. A report sends us the reason you choose and, only if you tick to include it, the suggestion and the text it was made from, from which our service takes out any email address, phone number or link before keeping it. We use reports to improve the AI's instructions and delete them after 90 days.
AI can be wrong. Check that a suggestion is true before you keep it. Resumo never adds numbers it does not have: it leaves a blank such as [number] for you to fill.
Turning it off. Settings › AI writing turns it off. Delete my AI data, beside it, deletes this installation's record, its counts and its reports from our service at once; otherwise they are deleted 13 months after its last AI request. A plan you bought stays yours, with the store: our record of it, no longer linked to this installation, is deleted a day after the plan ends, so that you can restore it on a new installation with what it has used. Request records hold no text and expire after 30 days, and Apple keeps its DeviceCheck mark.
Backups
Your phone's own backup can include your Resumo documents, so that they move with you to a new phone:
- Android: if Android backup is on, the app's document database is included in it. The working files it makes to share are not. A file you save to your phone is in your Downloads folder, outside the app, and stays there if you remove the app.
- iOS: your documents are included in your device's iCloud or computer backup, according to your settings. The working files it makes to share are excluded. A file you save to your phone is in Files, On My iPhone, Resumo, and is backed up with your other files there.
These backups are made, stored and protected by Google or Apple under their own privacy policies. We have no access to them.
Your country
To start a new resume on the right paper size (A4 or US Letter) and with the conventions of where you are, such as how languages are graded, Resumo reads which country your phone is in: from its SIM card on Android, its time zone, and its region setting. This happens on your phone, needs no permission and no location, and is never sent anywhere.
Permissions
- Android: Resumo uses internet access for AI writing, only when you ask for it, and to fetch the plans' current limits when you open them. The pages it draws, the preview of your resume and the files it makes, are blocked from loading anything from the internet. Google Play's billing service, used for Resumo Plus, adds two permissions of its own: one to reach the Play Store app on your phone, and one to see whether a network is available, which reads the phone's state and opens no connection. The photo picker needs no permission.
- iOS: Resumo asks for no permissions. AI writing uses the internet only when you ask for it, and opening the plans fetches their current limits.
Emailing us for help
Settings has Support and Send feedback buttons, and a download or an AI request that fails offers Email us. Each opens your phone's own email app on a new message to resumo@gravito.tech. Resumo itself sends nothing. To help us look into a problem, the message starts with a few labelled details about the app, which you can read, change or remove before you send it:
- from a download or an AI request that failed, what was being done, such as "saving the PDF to the phone" or "rewriting a bullet with AI"
- the app's version, build number and build type, and when Resumo was first installed on your phone and in which version
- your phone's model and its Android or iOS version
- the screen size, the text size and the appearance setting (light or dark)
- whether Resumo Plus is in the app, and whether a Plus term is active
The message never includes your documents, your name or contact details, or your country. If you send it, we receive it like any other email. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you report, we do not share it, and we delete it if you ask us to.
Information we do not collect
Apart from the AI records described above, an email you choose to send us and the stores' reports of a purchase (below), we do not collect, receive, store, sell or share any personal data, usage data, device identifiers, location, crash reports or analytics. Resumo shows no advertising and does no tracking or analytics. With AI writing off, its one connection of its own fetches the plans' current limits when you open them and carries nothing about you, so nothing you write leaves your device unless you send it yourself.
Purchases
Resumo Plus is optional. It is bought for a day, a week or three months and never renews. It is processed entirely by Google Play or the App Store under their own terms and privacy policies: we never see your payment details. The app reads your purchases from the store to know which plan you hold and when it ends; what a plan unlocks on your device needs nothing from our service. Because a plan includes more AI writing, while AI writing is on the app also sends the store's proof of each purchase to our service, which checks it with Google or Apple and keeps a coded form of its identifier, with this installation's random ID, until a day after the plan ends. With AI writing off, or where it is not offered, nothing about a purchase is sent to us. On its Plan and usage screen the app shows the order number of each purchase, from the store. A code is redeemed in the store's own screen. Your documents are never part of a purchase. When you open the plans, the app asks our service for each plan's current limits, whether or not AI writing is on. The request carries nothing about you or your documents, only the app's version and whether it is the Android or the iPhone app; our service keeps its record of it for 30 days, as it does for every request, and does not keep your internet address.
The stores give us their usual reports of each sale, such as its order number, date and country. We use them only for our accounts and to help you with a purchase if you ask us to. If you write to us about a purchase and give us its order or transaction number, we look it up with the store and in our service's records of the plan it bought: its dates, what it has used and its requests of the last 30 days, never their text. We use what we find only to answer you.
Deleting your data
You can delete any document in the app at any time. Uninstalling Resumo removes everything it stored on your device. Copies in your device backups follow your backup settings. If you turned on AI writing, Settings › AI writing › Delete my AI data deletes this installation's records from our service at once, as "Turning it off" above describes. Apart from those records, the app sends us none of your data, so we hold nothing from it to access, correct, export or delete. If you have emailed us, write to resumo@gravito.tech and we will delete your messages.
Children
Resumo is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. If a future version of Resumo ever needed to handle your data differently, this policy would be updated before that version was released.
